In a bid to encourage safer driving on our roads and reduce accident claims, Liberty is rewarding safer driving with lower premiums, in partnership with telematics service provider The Floow.
The insure-tech proposition, which allows consumers to purchase vehicle and household insurance online, puts drivers through their paces on the app – and if they pass the driving test, achieving low scores over 300km, they can expect to pay lower premiums. The Liberty Short-Term Insurance chatbot guides them through the test, encouraging them while monitoring whether they drive aggressively or are easily distracted. Once they’ve proved they are defensive drivers, they’re incentivised to keep on driving safely with ongoing feedback and tips, plus the chance to earn Uber vouchers.
A quick insurance quote is available from the chatbot, available on social media messaging channels, the app and the website. The insure-tech proposition offers motor and home insurance and is underwritten by Standard Insurance Limited.
“With Liberty Short-Term Insurance, we’re aiming to revolutionise the short-term insurance market by making it quick, easy and accessible – all enabled by smart technology,” says Marty Epstein, chief executive for Liberty Short-Term Insurance. “This telematics-based personal lines insurance proposition is the first in a range of products to be launched, and we are delighted with the capability and partnership that The Floow has brought to making this happen.”
