Investec launched a dedicated specialist business unit for intermediaries yesterday, co-ordinating all products and services available to advisers on one platform. The business unit operates independently of Investec Private Bank and Investment Asset Management and will bring unite relationships, an integrated digital platform and client-focused solutions within a single specialist bank offering.
According to René Grobler, head of Investec for Intermediaries, “We listened to intermediaries saying they would like more co-ordination, as dealing with different people in different teams is sometimes hard to navigate. In order to make it easier for intermediaries to engage with us, we decided to create a team that focuses on them as our clients. They can engage with the team regarding anything they may need at Investec – so they won’t have to log in and log out every time they interact with Cash Management (CCM), Forex, Structured Products, Specialist Investment, Equities and Prime Services – everything will be on one platform, which is due to launch shortly.”
The Intermediaries Online platform will allow advisers to access the full suite of products and services Investec has to offer, but a single dedicated relationship manager will be able to answer any questions or meet any requirements that advisers may have. The seamless digital solution will allow intermediaries to manage their client portfolios – trade, invest and save on one platform and also tap into industry-related and thought leadership content.
“Many of you have built up relationships over the years with our specialists – and we believe that these relationships are very important,” Grobler told the intermediaries who attended the launch. “Our aim is not just to bring products and services together, but to come up with fit-for-purpose solutions for you, and help you to navigate the world of complexity, volatility and disruption.”
