Financial services regulatory compliance firm, Compli-Serve SA is pleased to announce that it has concluded an agreement with Mazars Consulting Services “Mazars”, whereby Compli-Serve will refer clients who require broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) verification or consulting services.
The Amendments to the Amended Generic Codes of Good Practice on B-BBEE come into effect at the end of November 2019, which bring about an enhanced need for compliance to stay on course.
The Financial Sector Transformation Council further provides through the Amended Financial Sector Code (FSC), a clearer roadmap on how to build on existing B-BBEE achievements. The FSC also serves as the measurement for empowerment progress in the financial sector.
The upcoming Conduct of Financial Institutions (COFI) Bill also seeks to prioritise B-BBEE compliance. Companies will be required to have transformation policies in place that comply with the codes, as well as promote financial inclusion.
“We’re pleased to partner with Mazars, which is a highly reputable firm in the B-BBEE arena. We look forward to being able to offer our clients access to professional B-BBEE related services, to help keep their B-BBEE compliance on track,” says Richard Rattue, Managing Director of Compli-Serve SA.
